WHMIS for Office Staff, Drivers and Shop/Washbay Workers

This series is intended to provide participants with a foundation of the required skills and knowledge they must have in the Web Fleet Assistant (WFA) application. This course is to be completed during the employee’s indoctrination to Pacific Western Group of Companies, or if they have recently been granted access to the WFA application. It is designed as a benchmark introduction.


Participants shall:

  • Understand the purpose of Web Fleet Assistant and why Pacific Western Group of Companies has utilized this across all Lines of Business

  • Identify the appropriate level of response for issue resolution within the Web Fleet Assistant Application

  • Understand how to log in to Web Fleet Assistant

  • Understand the basic navigation functions of Web Fleet Assistant, and how to close windows and open applications

  • Understand the most basic search functions within Web Fleet Assistant, and the fundamentals of sorting that information.


This series is intended to provide participants with a foundation of the required skills and knowledge they must have in the Web Fleet Assistant (WFA) application. This course is to be completed during the employee’s indoctrination to Pacific Western Group of Companies, and on an ongoing basis as required.






Participants shall:

  • Understand the process and basic steps for adding a Work Order in WFA
  • Identify the appropriate information to be added into WFA from a Driver Vehicle Condition Report
  • Understand how to select their shift in WFA
  • Understand the basic functions of Work Orders in WFA, how to add labour and parts, and how to add indirect labour.




This series is intended to provide parts staff of all levels with a foundation of the required skills and knowledge they must have in the Web Fleet Assistant (WFA) application. This course is to be completed during the employee’s indoctrination to Pacific Western Group of Companies, and on an ongoing basis as required.


Participants shall:

  • Understand the process and basic steps for conducting a physical inventory count

  • Identify items that are considered obsolete and demonstrate knowledge of the required steps following identification

  • Understand the process of procuring new parts in the following channels:

    • Part Replenishment

    • Manual Part Purchase

    • Part Transfer Function

  • Demonstrate knowledge in the procedure for establishing min/max levels for stocked parts

  • Determine the best method for adding a part return out of the following methods:

    • From original PPO

    • Manual Parts Return

  • Distinguish between the various Core Icons in WFA and understand when each one is used


This module illustrates the Core Management Process in full detail. This module is suitable for administrators, Parts Technicians, Shop Managers and any other User of WFA who wishes to gain an understanding of the Core Management Process. Note* There is a module in the Series 01- Technician Training that explains only the Core Management Process steps that are relevant to the Technician. This module is available as a standalone module or it is also a part of Series 02- All Parts Training.  

This module illustrates the Part Return Process.

This series is intended to provide participants with a detailed instruction in how to fill out in-house repair warranty, process in-house repair warranty and completing in-house repair warranty. This course is to be completed during the employee’s indoctrination to Pacific Western Group of Companies, and on an ongoing basis as required.


Participants shall:

  • Understand the process and basic steps for warranty claim and reimbursement, including steps for which others are responsible
  • Identify parts that are flagged for warranty, and address any errors that occur within WFA
  • Understand how warranty parts are gathered, sorted and processed
  • Understand the basic steps to follow in accepting or disputing a credit/denial once received from the vendor




This course is intended to provide Subject Matter Experts, parts staff, and shop leaders with the necessary instruction on how to add suppliers and customers in Web Fleet Assistant (WFA). It is intended for employees who have a foundational basic knowledge of Web Fleet Assistant.


Participants shall:

  • Understand who to contact when adding a supplier or customer into WFA, and when to contact them
  • Understand the key items and changes that must be captured in the entry process – for example, customer code.
  • Be able to add a temporary supplier and convert that temporary supplier to a permanent supplier
  • Identify the appropriate information required when adding a supplier into WFA





    This series is intended to provide Subject Matter Experts with a guide on how to various functions regarding the odometer reading and recording processes. It is intended for employees who have a foundational basic knowledge of Web Fleet Assistant.


    Participants shall:

    • Identify the appropriate method for entering equipment mileage based on the number of entries required
    • Understand the correct WFA functions to utilize for single unit entry and multiple unit entry, respectively
    • Be able to mark an incorrect odometer reading as invalid






      This series is intended to provide participants with instruction on updates and new features within the Web Fleet Assistant (WFA) application.

      This course can be completed during the employee’s indoctrination to Pacific Western Group of Companies, or if they are a current WFA user. It is designed as a benchmark introduction to new features, and will be updated accordingly as new features are released or utilized.

      This series is intended to provide participants with instruction on updates and new features within the Web Fleet Assistant (WFA) application.

      This course can be completed during the employee’s indoctrination to Pacific Western Group of Companies, or if they are a current WFA user. It is designed as a benchmark introduction to new features, and will be updated accordingly as new features are released or utilized. 

      This module, summarizes the changes expected with the May 11, 2018 upgrade of WFA 7.0.

      This program aims to provide a high level summary for accessing PWT's new Business Intelligence dashboard. We will identify successful the various reports that are available to users accessing this platform, as well as introduce the user with the basic functions of the Business Intelligence tool.

      By leveraging Pacific Western Transportation’s investment in technology, and utilizing our resourcefulness and ingenuity, we have found a way to eliminate the human factor in compiling the dashboard and presenting it to you. This program serves as an introduction into how we plan to do this.




      This program aims to provide a high level summary for how to manage employees who have experienced a workplace injury. We will identify successful strategies for a return to full duties following a workplace injury.
